Description
The original Hotel Dieu Hospital, Kingston, buildings on Brock Street. The RHSJs began with their hospital at 229 Brock St and their monastery at 233 Brock St. in 1845. The hospital was enlarged with the 227 Brock St built between 1847-1848 and the monastery was expanded with the addition of the chapel and novitiate at 231 Brock St (1848) and a much larger addition at 235 Brock St. in 1869. These buildings would serve as the Hotel Dieu until December 1892 when the RHSJs moved to the Regiopolis College building on Sydenham St.
