Letter from Bishop Patrick Phelan to "The Lady Superior of the Hotel Dieu, Brock Street, Kingston, C.W.", Sister Amable Bourbonierre written on July 2nd, 1847, giving the Religious Hospitallers of St. Joseph permission to break their cloister and treat the Irish immigrants afflicted by Typhus at the Kingston General Hospital ("the English Hospital").
